Join Wendy’s Eye for an immersive photography retreat in one of the darkest sky locations in the eastern United States — Cherry Springs, Pennsylvania.

This is more than a getaway.
It’s a curated photography experience designed to help you grow confidently in both daytime landscape and night sky photography.

🌄 What We’ll Capture

Daytime Locations

• Kinzua Bridge State Park

• Bucktail Overlook (Elk Country)

• Austin Dam Memorial Park

• Scenic mountain overlooks and forest compositions

We’ll focus on:

• Composition and perspective

• Light and timing

• Storytelling in landscapes

• Creative framing and depth

• Shooting intentionally — not randomly

🌌 Night Sky Experience

Each evening we’ll head out to photograph the Milky Way under some of the darkest skies in Pennsylvania.

You’ll learn:

• Astro camera settings (ISO, aperture, shutter speed)

• Manual focusing at night

• Composition for night landscapes

• Foreground planning

• Light discipline in dark sky areas

• Building confidence shooting in low light

Multiple nights mean multiple opportunities to refine and improve.

🏡 Lodging

We will stay together in a private mountain home for three nights (Thursday–Saturday).

• Shared twin rooms (2 per room)

• Private room option available

• Comfortable common areas

• Full kitchen

• Outdoor space to relax and connect

💰 Investment

$450 per person – Shared Twin Room
$900 – Private Room (Single Occupancy)

If you would like to share with a specific partner, please indicate at registration.
Otherwise, room assignments are first come, first served.

💳 Payment Schedule

A $400 deposit is required to reserve your spot.

The remaining $50 balance is due by June 26.

Your space is not secured until the deposit is received.

🔁 Deposit Policy

The $400 deposit is non-refundable but transferable.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your deposit to another participant for this event. It is your responsibility to coordinate the transfer.

❌ Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the event may receive a refund of payments made minus the $400 deposit.
• Cancellations made within 30 days of the event are non-refundable unless your spot is filled by another participant.

Due to advance lodging reservations and meal planning, refunds cannot be issued for last-minute cancellations.

🌧 Rain or Shine Event

This retreat is a rain or shine event.

Alternate photography opportunities, instruction sessions, image review discussions, and creative exercises will be provided if weather impacts scheduled shoots.

No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions.

Tripods are required for night sessions.
