My Story

My photography journey began long before it was ever a business.

When I was seven years old, Santa Claus gave me my first camera. From that moment on, I became the family historian — always observing, documenting, and capturing the world as I saw it. Our family photo albums weren’t just filled with posed moments; they were filled with my perspective of growing up.

As I got older, photography stayed with me. My first paying photography job was as a sports photographer — and it felt like a dream come true. Fast-paced, emotional, and full of storytelling, it taught me how to anticipate moments and see beyond what was obvious.

Over the years, I’ve explored many different fields of photography, each one shaping how I see and create. But along the way, something unexpected became clear: my true passion wasn’t just making images — it was sharing what I’d learned.

Teaching photography allows me to give back in a way that feels meaningful. Whether it’s helping someone finally understand their camera, guiding a creative walk, or volunteering my time and skills in the community, photography has always been about connection for me.

Today, Wendy’s Eye is where photography, education, and experience come together. Through classes, outings, and creative explorations, I help photographers of all levels slow down, see differently, and grow with confidence — at their own pace.

This journey continues with every class taught, every outing shared, and every story captured. If you’re curious, learning, or simply looking to see the world through a new lens — you’re in the right place.
