Musikfest is packed with color, movement, music, emotion—and incredible photographic moments. The challenge is knowing where to look, how to anticipate the moment, and how to capture the energy around you.
Join Wendy’s Eye for a three-hour, hands-on photography walk through Musikfest where you’ll learn how to move beyond snapshots and start creating images that tell the story of the festival.
We’ll begin at the Sun Inn Courtyard and make our way through the festival streets toward Cäthe the Great, focusing on crowd reactions, movement, interaction, and composition. You’ll learn how to use the excitement of the crowd while incorporating Cäthe and the surrounding festival atmosphere into your images.
From there, we’ll head toward the main music tents, where I’ll walk you through photographing live performers. We’ll talk about camera settings, timing, angles, anticipating moments, and finding those “money shots” that make a concert image stand out.
Then we’ll switch into street photography mode. You’ll learn how to approach people confidently, recognize authentic moments, interact with your subjects, and create photographs with personality and emotion.
This is a shooting workshop—not a lecture. We’ll be moving, photographing, experimenting, and learning throughout Musikfest.

Keeping this workshop to only four photographers allows for plenty of individual instruction while we shoot. If the first walk fills, additional Musikfest dates may be added.
